  • Pride of the Keene Valley Barn

There's just something special about that barn isn't there? It has a way of connecting people and bringing them to one place from all over the world.. No matter where we come from, we all share a love for this crooked little red building made of wood. When it falls, there will be a landscape forever changed and a void in many of our hearts. For this Adirondack Icon, it may seem like it's time has come to pass.. But in the twilight hours of all life, is the defining moment of who we really are. Let's celebrate the happiness and inspiration this landmark has brought to all of us.. and say, Thank You. Remember, our gratitude is the greatest miracle. ~ J.L. Deitz Keene Valley Barn Adirondacks

  • Shining Star

"Warmth dances on my skin gently persuading a memory. How fortunate to be proposed such a welcoming smile after what can sometimes feel like decades of scowling cloud critics. Golden rays of reason pierce through an uncertain darkness.. replenishing every living thing we are emboldened by to remember the familiar. All at once, we are whole again." ~ Jess Deitz Here's a thought: A light beam takes 8 minutes to travel the 93 million miles from the Sun to Earth. So when all of lights go out, remember that in just 8 minutes it's very possible another will turn on. June 30. 2016

  • Backyard Wonder

Some of the most powerful magic exists right here at home.. In the eyes of a loved one or in the memory of a taste or fragrance that instantly brings you home. There is magic in your backyard that goes unnoticed day after day. So many of us feel alone and empty.. We spend our money and travel to far places to fill a void which seems bottomless. It was right here all along. Look to your left.. to your right.. now look in the mirror.. Magic. You are the wonder that will never repeat itself again in such perfect form. Tomorrow you will be different and new magic will be discovered. When you look into the mirror say “Thank You”. Thank You for breathing, experiencing and forever changing. This is Life. This is Magic. ~JL. Deitz
