Our Moon in the company of Jupiter and 3 of its 67 Moons! Jupiter is to the left.. it's Moons are the three tiny dots forming a line.
Just before dawn tomorrow morning, see if you can spot the penumbral lunar eclipse on the Moon.. then be sure to get back outside in the evening and enjoy the view of the Full Moon rising with Jupiter.

Two exposures blended to capture the Moons Halo effect along with Jupiter's Moons.. the second to capture detail of the Moon.
Atmosphere
The trees are illuminated by the setting Sun behind me, which is why the Moon is also an orange hue. It's distorted shape is from refraction of light bouncing off the Earths atmosphere. This happens to both the Sun and Moon when it is near the Horizon.
